MCT oil – the most commonly used carrier oil for CBD

A special medium, the carrier oil, is used to dilute the high concentration of CBD. Among the CBD oils marketed in Hungary, MCT oil (medium-chain triglycerides) is most often used as a carrier for CBD.

The vehicle, which is the carrier oil, is a vegetable oil that is used to make the CBD extract edible. With this, we can adjust the different concentrations (5%-10%-15%-20%), in addition, the oil increases the viscosity of the finished product, so it can be dispensed more easily using the dropper pipette. The carrier oil can increase the bioavailability and utilization of the active ingredients.

WHAT IS MCT OIL?

MCT oil is a special oil made from a combination of coconut and palm oil. It was primarily developed for patients who are unable to digest and use traditional fats. Its medium-chain triglycerides are significantly shorter than those of average fats, which is why they are absorbed much faster. As a result, it is not stored as fat in our body, but is used as energy.

Medium-chain fatty acids give energy faster , so- called also for the brain in the form of ketone bodies.

Unlike traditional oils, this is a quickly digestible and immediate source of energy , which is why it is very popular among athletes . Due to the structure of the fatty acid composition, MCT oils can be digested and broken down much faster than the fatty acids of ordinary oils and fats.
